Multiple Pumps
Multiple pumps are systems that use two or more pumps working together to meet specific operational demands. These pumps can be arranged in parallel or series configurations, depending on the desired outcome. In parallel setups, the pumps combine to increase the overall flow rate, while in series configurations, they increase the pressure by using one pump’s output as the next pump’s input. Multiple pump systems offer greater efficiency, flexibility, and redundancy, ensuring continued operation even if one pump fails, making them highly reliable for critical applications like water distribution and industrial processes.
Multiple pumps can contribute to better energy management and operational efficiency. By distributing the hydraulic load among several pumps, a system can operate more efficiently, reducing the strain on individual units and minimizing energy consumption. For example, pumps can be run in parallel to share the load, or they can be used sequentially to optimize energy use based on current demands. This approach not only helps in managing energy consumption but also improves the overall efficiency of the system. Additionally, advanced control systems can adjust the operation of each pump based on real-time data, ensuring that the system operates at peak efficiency and conserves energy when full capacity is not required.
Incorporating multiple pumps into a hydraulic system enhances its reliability and provides built-in redundancy. This redundancy is crucial in applications where continuous operation is essential, as it reduces the risk of complete system failure. If one pump experiences a malfunction or requires maintenance, the remaining pumps can take over the load, allowing the system to continue functioning with minimal disruption. This arrangement also improves safety, as it prevents sudden breakdowns and allows for planned maintenance without compromising system performance. Moreover, the ability to isolate and service individual pumps without affecting the entire system further enhances overall reliability and operational stability.

Multiple Pumps
Multiple Pumps in aluminium, and with external gears.
Some pumps in this category are also available with cast iron flanges.
The rotation verse is clockwise or counterclockwise, and you can reverse it without adding any components, so you can optimize storage space and adapt the pump to your needs. In this catalogue from pages 18 to 29, you will find instructions for changing the rotation verse of our unidirectional pumps, divided by type.
The displacement of these products varies between 0.16 cm3/rev and 86.87 cm3/rev, the rotation speed reaches up to 9000 rpm and the maximum pressures reach 320 bar.
Depending on the type, our unidirectional hydraulic pumps can have:
- Integrated outboard bearings
- Anti-cavitation valve
- Maximum pressure relief valves
- Priority valves
- Bypass electric valves
- High-Pressure shaft seal
